 [Pic Included] is this skin cancer? - 2010/03/13 02:10 is this skin cancer melanoma?
2 weeks ago, on my left arm i noticed an itchy spot. i thought it was a spider or mosquito bite. over the past 2 weeks it has stopped itching but not disappeared. I live in Australia and i know the risks of the sun. I do don't have access to sunscreen at school. Please somebody tell me if this is skin cancer or if i should go see a doctor because i don't want to die =/

 Re:[Pic Included] is this skin cancer? - 2010/03/15 05:05 After reading your post I'm worried that you haven't already been to a doctor. Any skin lesion, particularly one you are worried about, should be checked by a professional. Any change in shape or colour, itchiness, bleeding or any other change needs to be seen to. Please see a professional without delay. It may be nothing, but if your gut instinct is telling you that this is not normal then you need to do something about it. Keep us posted.

It may be nothing but you have done the right thing asking . Please get your local doctor to refer you to a dermatologist. If it is something then the earlier its looked at the better. Please let us know how you go.
